Get your Application on the Short List
Are you applying for a job with an English-speaking company? Job applications, whether online or on paper are the first step to getting a job interview. Give the employers the information they need to put you on the shortlist.
As a previous employer working at a third level College and Embassy, I understand the importance of having a correct C.V and Cover letter. The majority of applications in which we received were discarded and placed into the bin.
Approximately 70 percent of applications received had spelling mistakes, grammar errors and poor structure. These applications never made it to our short list. After we removed the poor applications we focused upon the key points we were searching for, in order to fill that vacancy. The applications that stood out were ‘’original, unique and emphasised creative flair’’!
What Employers Search For
Employers are looking for an excellent C.V that demonstrates the person has the necessary skills and experience required for the job.
The most successfull applications are then selected for short listing. Finally, the employer invites the short listed ‘‘applicants’’ for interviews. We can help you to access that shortlist and be selected for an interview.
Why is Proof Reading Important?
C.V's with spelling and grammar mistakes are often discarded immediately, the employer on average scans your CV in under 10 seconds. Its important you list relevant skills and to demonstrate that the employer should ''buy you''! these 10 seconds are very important as they are the deciding factors to which results to either ''Trash'' or ''Cash''!.
We can help to deliver that winning job application. Applying for that dream job normally requires a unique motivation letter/Cover Letter and of course your C.V
Your application is especially tailored for the job you are applying for. Your application will contain the key words that the employer is looking for. We will add flair to help your application stand out and capitalise upon that opportunity and win that interview.
When writing your C.V, we don't attempt to sell you - we want the employer to buy you!
Let’s face it: employers receive hundreds of resumes every day—many of which end up in the trash. That’s why your resume needs to concisely highlight your relevant experience and be free of errors.
But this highly important document needs to do more. Your CV needs to be different. It should create a lasting, positive impression; show your understanding of your field; and demonstrate to the potential employer that you’re the clear choice for the job.
We Go Further, Unlike other services We Offer the S.T.A.R Approach.
The S.T.A.R stands for...
Situation
Task
Action
Result.
It is a universally recognised communication technique designed to enable you to provide a meaningful and complete answer to questions asking for examples. At the same time, it has the advantage of being simple enough to be applied easily.
Many interviewers will have been trained in using the STAR structure. Even if they have not, they will recognise its value when they see it. The information will be given to them in a structured manner and, as a result, they will become more receptive to the messages you are trying to communicate.
Finally, our proofreading service is the best way to guarantee that your resume will be one they spare from the recycling bin.
